One structured route into behaviour analysis, with three doors depending on where you live and where you intend to practise. Every door carries the same three layers: exam preparation, authorized supervision, and a residency or placement. What differs is what each one is built around.

This one question routes you to the right door. It matters: a credential that is right in one place can be the wrong choice in another, and choosing on your own can cost you a year.
Ontario route
You live in Ontario and intend to practise here.
Built for Ontario's own blueprint. The exam-preparation layer is the wedge, because it is built directly for the OEPPABA, the supervision is the structure that carries the required hours, and the residency is where the practice volume happens.
Leads to: Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO)
Next OEPPABA sitting: October 26, 2026

BCBA route
You live in Canada outside Ontario, or in the United States.
We do not sell BCBA exam preparation. That market is saturated. We sell what is scarce: authorized supervision and structured fieldwork that is already built for the BACB's January 2027 rules, delivered remotely, around a real interdisciplinary clinic.
Leads to: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BACB)
The 2027 rules take effect: January 1, 2027, determined by application submission date

IBA route
You live and intend to practise outside Canada and the United States.
The global door. As the BACB withdraws country by country, the IBA is becoming the default credential where the BACB no longer operates, which is exactly the Caribbean and Central and Eastern European regions Mount Etna already works across.
Leads to: International Behavior Analyst (IBAO)

One pathway
The credential you should hold depends on where you practise, and the landscape is shifting. Ontario now has its own regulator and its own examination. The BACB is tightening its rules and withdrawing from country after country. The IBA is becoming the default credential everywhere the BACB is not. One pathway, three doors, so you enter through the one that is right for you rather than the one that happened to be marketed to you.
